The youngest of three brothers, Xavier was always a quiet boy. He was selected, as were his brothers Vincent and Quentin, to attend Hogwarts. However, unlike them, he was sorted into Ravenclaw rather than Slytherin. At school, as throughout his early life, he made no attempt to stand out from the crowd. He was studious and conscientious, but managed to avoid being labelled as a teacher's pet. He obtained high grades throughout his time at Hogwarts, successfully gaining 10 OWLs and 5 NEWTs, including History of Magic, at which subject he truly excelled.
Since he left Hogwarts, Xavier has continued to pursue his interest in history. He has travelled throughout Europe researching the subject and writing papers on it, and has even been involved in the excavation of several sites of historical interest in Egypt.
